‘Our idea is to go play strong football. And Valencia’s thoughts are the same. Teams and fans want to show it. We should not forget what happened last year. Because acts of racism must be condemned and identified. Valencia did a great job identifying whoever committed those crimes. It is a city that has experienced tragedy. We want to be with those families. We want to play the best game possible for that reason.’ said the Italian.

Vinicius Jr. faced racism and racial abuse while playing at the Mestalla Arena last year. When asked if he had any advice for the Brazilian forward ahead of Saturday’s game.

‘Nothing special. He is ready to do his best. I have nothing more to say. We were just talking about how to cause problems for Valencia, who are a very well organized team.’

Ancelotti was also asked if he had a message for Valencia fans ahead of the game.

Said the Italian trainer.

‘Let’s just hope they enjoy the football season. Let them be sad at the end of the game. Because Madrid will win’

The Italian also believes society as a whole has moved forward since last year’s incident when Vinicius Jr. was racially abused.

‘Yes, Valencia acted as firmly as we all must. The whole football family When someone commits a crime Which in this case is an act of racism. Society is the same. We all have to do it. I think Valencia are the best in that respect.’
